The Average High Schooler
The kids mill around the halls
Pushing me up against the walls
As masses of bodies cover every surrounding
I feel nothing less than short of drowning
It's hard to find my way through the crowds
I can't hear myself talk, for it is way too loud
My head is fogging up and I can't seem to think
I'm trying to concentrate, but I can't focus on one thing
The seconds tick by, but the mass will only grow
I'm trying to blend in and just go with the flow
My heart is racing with one too many beats
By the end of the day, I'll be lucky if I can still breathe
