I Am The T-Shirt You Never Wash

I am the human equivalent of

The boxes in your garage

The papers underneath your bed

The widowed socks in your drawer

The hidden stain on the wall

(behind the picture frame)

The song you keep skipping

The shirt that is too small for you

(and the one that is too big)

The guitar string you snapped

The thought you forgot

The words on the tip of your tongue

The moldy strawberries in your fridge

The coffee you let get cold

The sweater you lost

The pennies in your pockets

The t-shirt you never wash.
