I Am Not Broken

Location

I am not broken,

I am not depression,

I am not anxiety,

I am not what my illness wants me to be.

I am recovering,

I am fighting,

I am the happiness that they tried to deny me.

I've fought,

For a lifetime,

It seems,

To be the perfect child of my parents dreams.

But when all is said and done,

I'll be the only one,

Who was there for me.

The only one who fought,

The only one who cared,

And for that reason,

I am not broken,

I am not scared,

I've won this battle with myself,

And for that reason,

I am flawless.
