I Am From

I am from old cartoons
From Looney Tunes, to Tom and Jerry
(Always funny-- never too boring to watch.)
I am from the endless hours of hide and seek,
Always going to the same spot,
thinking no one would ever find me
as if i were camouflaged.
I am from the "Father, Daughter Days"
From dirt biking to eatin' giant dill pickles.
I am from "My Sweet Pumpkin Pie" and " My Little Sugar bear."
From long vactaion car rides with the Bee Gee's,
to sitting on the back of Daddy's motorcycles,
letting me take the handle bars at 3 years old.
I'm from the role playing with my brother acting like Godzilla,
jumping on the bed, roaring like a dinosaur.
From wearing each other's clothes,
to switching beds secretly for mom and dad to come about us in the morning.
Years have passed, ever forgotten
drifting in and out of my thoughts and dreams,
like an ongoing movie,
capturing each life chapter down to the very sentence,
I am from those moments.
