Humanity
Blood runs through my veins,
My heart aches and pains,
What do I have to gain,
By not being human?
My eyes strain in the night,
I long for the light,
Why should I fight,
To give up my humanity?
Compassion buries my heart,
I long to play my part,
Why would I depart,
From my God-given nature?
