How You Dot Your "I's"

Fri, 02/28/2014 - 20:57 -- sussy

You would think its
Quite appalling
Considering the number of times I
Have attempted to recreate the
Way you write your letters
Illegible
But something so
Distinctly
Sublime
Spilled ink off
Your tongue without
A wince past your shoulders
Drenched with blood
Tears
Saliva
And I could only yearn to
Retrace such, but
I’ve come to the revelation
That stealing your pen will
Do me no good but
Neither does disjointing
Your fingers but to, instead,
Write on
And maintain my
Own shadow between
The margins
