How Dare You?

How dare you?

You walk on this Earth as if you're perfect, judging me.

I've made my mistakes, I've owned up to my faults.

You walk on this Earth as if you're perfect, hovering over my mistakes.

I'm not perfect, but I've never killed. I've created this world for you and I.

You circle around me like a shark, waiting for me to knick myself so you can destroy me, finding any way in.

I'm not letting you get in my head, not this time. You are no longer my demon.

We were once in love, I was once your muse, but now your heart turned so black.

I didn't mean to make you angry, I didn't mean to upset you.

It was one time, but you overreacted and now you're waiting,

stalking,

hoping I mess up.

You walk on this Earth as if you wear angel wings, but soon,

I might be the one wearing the wings.

I love you, I know it was my fault, forgive me

We can start over, it was just a few times....

How dare you?

You look her in the eye

You let her think you still love her

How dare you?

You treat her like a punching bag, leaving me to pick up the pieces.

She has a pure heart,

so pure that she's trying to save the blackened muscle that still manages to beat in your chest.

She almost got out,

she almost saw through your lies,

and then you made her think you loved her again.

How dare you?

The sirens are coming for you now.

They are going to take you away.

She may hate me now, but not as much as she will learn to hate you.

You walked on this Earth as if you were invincible,

how dare you.
