How Could I Ever

You guided me true

When all I thought I had left was you

How could I ever repay your kindness

When you were the one to light my blindness

Now I can see all the possibilities before me

If I only reach out my hand I can be anything or everything I've ever wanted to be

Too scared to move, too scared to think

From their poisoned cup I was willing to drink

Till you pulled me up

Speaking softly until I realized enough was enough

I may appear a failure in their eyes

But it doesn't matter for all they have ever known is lies

My mentor, my friend

I will always love you to no end
