How bad do YOU want it?

How bad do you want it?

Reaching for the top, lap after lap

Shot after shot, my body can’t stop

Because my hear won’t let it

Gold is the goal, I won’t stop even once I’ve met it

When you have a desire like mine

You laugh at your mind telling you

That you are tired; not because it’s not true

But a desire like mine always pulls through.

Business first, Leisure’s and Luxuries last

What is a narcotic high, to my face enshrined

In a case made of glass. Under the influence is futile

When you have a desire like mine.

I run mile after mile,

My throat is dry, and my body burns

But yet I presume to smile

Because every piece of pain is an inch

Closer to success I have earned

But yet frequently I must redefine the grind

To even compete with the odds against me

For having a desire like mine.
