And Bad Choices

And he didn't care about her

but problems like that didn't exist then

they were covered up with stories of firewalking indian chiefs, old buddies from a war he never fought, and science fact id later come to know as fiction

And the daughters of the self proclaimed self famed explorer who would someday sail to australia in a boat with no rutter all came together at beginning middle and end to wish the women who raised a hundred children a fond farewell and goodnight

And when she went off it wasnt with a wail or shriek or shouting or a single tear or smile

It was with silence

and a sunken face with no expression

And a nurse calmly leaving the room because there was nothing more for her to do

And it was with whispered words to grey ears

And holding with empty hands

And seeing with empty eyes

And they swear she could talk with empty lungs but i never heard her

Bus stops

And news that it's over

Silent car rides

And everyone showed up

And she only used that ramp twice but it really wasn't for her

And what goes up must come down

And boy did she
