Hopes, Dreams, Sorrows, Love

Life fades before my eyes
Everything has been disguised in lies
The world I once knew
That world was never true
When I realize that things are hopeless
But I still hope
When I realize that my dreams won't come true
Even though I still want them too
When I know that the one I love may not love me
I just fall harder, truthfully

When we are in love
We look for signs
As is we were above
And knew what our lives would hold
But we can not see these things
And these things grow cold

Scars that will never heal
Dreams that can't be real
Destinies and fates abound
But only one can be found
Endless choices to make
Infinite paths to take
Love and sorrow, hand in hand
In this weary, dreary land

Hopes fly south in search of false warmth
Dreams go west, and drown in the sea
Sorrows flee east, but come back to haunt us
And love goes north
Searching
And searching
And searching
And we wait for love to come back
