hope

Location

Laying here now, alone at last
The world slows down from seeming so fast
A break from reality at the hint of night
Time to let go of what I hold to so tight

The forced smiles and lies of today
Slip into nothings that I can't even say
Hush hush talks fill the lunch room lines
While rumours invade walls that only divide

The hurt of the words fill the air
No more hiding or pretending it's fair
I can't keep it in like I have for so long
I need an escape to keep me strong

Drowning now in thoughts and fears
Suffocating softly as I swallow the tears
A restricting grip that grabs my chest
Tightens my body and deprives me of rest

Alone and cold in this deep dark blue
Wishing and hoping that you'll pull me through
But all I can ask is where are you now
How can I get through when I don't know how

Guide me and show the path you've built
Take me away, rid me my guilt
I create this sin that takes me over
And the weight of it all has me covered

Crying out now to get some relief
The tears flow down as I question my belief
That one day I'll be saved from this hell I feel
And the wounds I have will finally heal

Take me now Lord and give me peace
Show me the way and show me my knees
Reach down and be my big rock
Before I expire my internal clock

The light of the L:ord warms and shines through
His voice called out that I chose you
And the wirght of the world lifts up and away
In paradise I'll be but not today
