A Home to Call Their Own

I see their smiles, strained and tired

I look into their eyes, hiding behind the hurt

They walk slowly and uneasily

Their minds filled with the past and the future

It is all one blur

They want to scream for love and family

Desiring a place to call home

No longer jumping

House to house

School to school

City to city

They desire what we all take advantage of

A family to call their own

I would give them all homes and families

Just to let them feel what I feel

To have the opportunity

That I take advantage of everyday
