Hollow.
I want to leave it all behind
Eyes, faces, minds
See me defined
Not by what I do
But what I did
And pay no attention to the person I've hid.
Somewhere.
Behind the mask of who they want.
I'm there.
It's not truly me.
Just the one I want to be.
Were I not what they see.
I want to go where no one knows
Mistakes, triumphs, deaths
They only guess
What I think
What's inside my head
And past shadows are left for dead.
I'm here.
This is me.
Just the one I want to be.
Unaware of what they see.
