And So I Climb On

I walk on clouds alone

Surrounded by the spended whiteness

Weighted down by something Ihave yet to know.

I dream a figure in the distance

And I run,

I sprint

To the opposite side of my world of clouds.

And yet the distance never shortens,

Instead it gets longer.

The figure disappears

And with it the clouds

Leaving me alone standing on land

Mere feet away from a giant hole in the ground

With darkness impenetrable by the light of day.

My memories return,

I remember digging that dark hole

And I recall climbing my way back out.

I relive the many caverns,

The ones that looked as they really were

And those that looked like the clouds I just walked on.

I wish to meet whoever took the time

To paint my world with the softness of the clouds

To make me climb up from the dark caverns

That refuse to let you leave completely.

There is a part of me

Left still in tose caves

Refusing to leave the suffocating darkness that seems so comforting.

But I am still here

Climbing up to reach the clouds I saw in my visions

And I thank the person who continues to pait my world

So I do not forget my mission

To reach the stars behind those clouds.

Watch me climb on.
