His Sacrifice

He risked his life for your freedom

left his family and loved ones when they needed em

To protect and serve

For the people who now get on his nerve

He had to watch his best friends die

He never got to say bye

He learned how to become a man at a young age

Now he wakes up screaming from the pain and rage

While he sleeps he sees the deceased young souls lost in war

Ones who souls now saor

Everyday he is faced with the reality that no one really understands his pain

He drinks and drinks to try and numb the pain, but it never helps him gain

He often wishes to make the hellish sights fade away

He wishes he could have a simple day

He wants the world to know his pain and how hard it is

He wants the world to see what it’s like to live like this

He tries to watch the news and sees how the veterans are being treated

He tries to read the newspaper but can’t read things that have to do with war, all the ways people are being mistreated

He can’t watch anything that misinforms the world of the true things that happen in foreign war

They don’t explain the pain, the loss, the agony the gore

He wants the world to know that we aren't helping those who risked everything they had to give us our rights

They just tell people that it is worth the fight

People in prison who broke the law get more than those who risked their life so we could all sleep sound at night

Veterans are literally dieing trying to get the help they need… many are dying and filled with fright

They don’t understand why they aren't getting help.. when they lost every bit of sanity they had protecting Us

They don’t get what happend to the love they once knew and trust

They don’t understand why the ones who have said they would help them… abandoned them and left them to fight their demons on their own

They don’t get why they feel so alone

They don’t want anyone to ever feel this horrible pain...having to remember taking another's life

They hate that people don’t get their greatest sacrifice
