Hidden in the Leaves

I walked through the entrance,

the world I knew disappeared.

The scene was alluring at first sight.

Sounds of wind rustling the leaves,

and the dripping of the moving river.

Enthralling, that caused me to shiver.

The sun lit the way through the trees.

Walking through piles of leaves,

and stumbling upon fallen branches.

Pleasant to make me look for more.

The webs and ditches in the ground warned me,

but it did not stop my addiction.

But the scene began to change the further I went.

Encountering rubbish, cigar wrappers, condoms,

the scenery started to fade with clutter.

Beauty of nature was covered up by young adults.

Place where one can enjoy was no more.
