Hidden Inside

Fri, 01/30/2015 - 00:43 -- mmcdow

Walls built up high

You won't see in, you won't see me

never letting anyone see me cry

even though they constantly plea

I shut down even more as they ply

I am cautious of who I open up to

Will they genuinely listen?

Or will they use this as ammunition?

Neither do I want for them, my pain to accrue

My heart is boarded up & protected

for you & only you,my walls begin to crumble

Will you be able to find me through the rubble?

Hand in hand you pull me out,

out of my own agony, darkness, & doubt
