Hey America, can you hear us singing?

Thu, 09/25/2025 - 20:22 -- ZLove

Can you hear us, America?

Can you?

Our voices, a melody of struggle and resistance

Tellin’ each other to keep ya head up and fight for what’s been missin’

Can you see us, America?

Can you?

See us for the mosaics we are; past the color of our skin

See us for our character-

Look within

Can you see us,America?

Have you?

Through the fights over civil rights

We wanna breathe, we wanna see, we wanna reach new heights

Have you heard us, America?

Have you tried to?

Heard our laughter, our tears, our song?

Our lives have been a chorus that’s been unsung for too long

Dear America,

Open your eyes and lift up your ears

So you won't miss our singing

The way you have for years
