The death siren signals the team to sit beneath the diamond moon.
The warden requires this stance once a day in the afternoon.

A bird glides between the glass skyscrapers on both sides of the street.
He is lost because the glass reflects the sun in the afternoon.

A couple sits looking out over the sea and islands in Greece.
They drink tea and sweat from the heat of the sun in the afternoon.

A pair of Prada glasses lies in the grass, missing its owner.
The owner searches; he lost them earlier in the afternoon.

I sit in this spot every day after lunch trying not to sleep.
The lecture continues, while I try to enjoy my afternoon.
