From Her (Words Without Speaking)

From her tears, she tells me she is struggling.

From her eyes, she tells me that she has suffered many sleepless nights.

From her frown, she tells me of her disappointment.

From her hair, she tells me that something is troubling her.

Yet she doesn’t tell me. She only gives me words without speaking.

Why are there tears on my face? Why do I feel cold?

Is this how she feels? Is this what is troubling her?

I speak words, but they cannot reach her.

She doesn’t want my help. She doesn’t need my help.

All I hear is silence. She only gives me words without speaking.
