Help Me

Sun, 11/11/2012 - 00:33 -- slabus2

White.
White and cold.
Why is it cold?
My arms are wrapped tight
Around my core.
It doesn’t help.
Will you keep me warm?
I ask you.
You’re on the other side of the room.
You shake your head and look away from me.
You never talk to me.
Why won’t you say something?
I ask you.
I try to get up,
I try to go to you,
But I can’t.
I can’t move my arms.
I start thrashing and screaming.
I scream your name,
But still you’re quiet.
Help me!
I see a tear slide down your cheek
As the men in white enter the room.
I move as much as I can.
I can’t let them touch me,
Not again.
The bigger one holds me down
As the other pokes the needle into my skin.
I don’t stop screaming your name until you disappear
And my world goes black.

Only in my dreams
Do you talk to me like you did
When you were alive.
Only in my dreams
Do you touch me the way you did
When you were alive.
Only in my dreams
Can I escape from the hell that is my life
Ever since you died.
