Everyday I can look in the mirror and I can pick out an imperfection.

Everyday they say I'm not pretty enough, not skinny enough, not smart enough.

I've heard it all again and again, but it's time I say enough!

Why do we live to the standards that others set on us?

Why do we let other people decide our worth?

Who gave them the authority to tell me who I should be?

So today I choose me and I have a say in who that is gonna be.

Today I choose to be my own kind of beautiful.

Today I will smile no matter what they say as they pass by me.

Today I will be beautiful because of my character and my actions.

Today I will not let their words win through my reactions.

I'm done hearing what they have to say about perfection,

Cause when I turn and look at my reflection in the mirror...

I am the most perfect version of me

And that's all I'll ever be.

I'm me and you're you and let's just leave it at that.

People are people and we all have our problems.

Everyone has some flaws, but everyone's entitled to be them.

Since when did we decide we ruled each other's lives?

No one knows what you're going through

And no one knows what you see

But I know that today, there is no one me-er than me.

And that's what makes me have imperfections

But it's also what makes me flawless.

I'm the best and the worst version of the girl I see in the mirror

And so are you and so is she and so is he.

But everyday, we start again when that alarm rings

A chance to be the best version of us.

An opportunity to defy the labels and to ignore the false ideas of perfection.

We are who we are and no one else can change that but us.

So instead of someone else telling us who we are and who we should be

Let's get rid of the labels everyone else gives us and take some control.

Everyday, choose who you are and be the most flawless imperfect version of you

Let's wake up each day and say...

Hello, my name is________

And you decide.
