Heather

Lost among the hills we see you

Blowing young and wild and free

No worries of this world to fall upon you

No place you'd rather be

You say, "Feel the Scottish rain pour down

Along your tortured face.

For no one is here to hurt you now

You are free when you're in this place."

The hills they grow what we may need

The grass is always green

And none shall ever take from us

That which we've achieved.

We are alone together

With our youth in heart

We're just like blooming heather

Our life reached its start.

So, come with me we'll go and see

The wonders of the earth,

But we must go as one my love

Or else we shall be lost.

So, come with me the time is now

And this moment shall soon be gone.

We mustn’t spend life wondering how

Just do what must be done.

So, come with me and be wild, be free

For there is no better time

For the heather on the hills it fades

And so, will you and I.
