He Knew Me From The Beginning

Self hatred covers the soul,

Heart drifts to oblivion,

You give yourself up for the human poll,

Let them judge you for you.

Who you are doesn't matter,

They beat that into you from the start.

He saw the way you hung your head,

Protect yourself from the beatings of words

Don't let them hurt you,

Don't feel it,

He saw and felt it.

He forced his way through,

Protecting your forgotten soul,

Holding your hand,

Kissing your head,

Loving you,

Never judging you,

He knew me from the moment he saw me,

It was from the beginning you were loved.
