Happiness is Holding on and Letting Go

One who gets weighed down by the past cannot grow

What is not in your power, you have no control

Happiness is holding on and letting go.

Do no not let your sadness darken your glow,

Yes, when something is lost it’s hard to be whole

One who gets weighed down by the past cannot grow

In the end you are your own worst foe

It is your “would haves” and “could haves” that hurts your soul

Happiness is holding on and letting go.

There are many things you don’t know, but you do still know

There are still good things you have that can lighten the toll

One who gets weighed down by the past cannot grow

Only you can pull yourself out of your lowest low

You have a life to live so play your role

Happiness is holding on and letting go.

Everyone is allow their time in sorrow

But please make happiness, not sorrow, your end goal

One who gets weighed down by the past cannot grow

Happiness is holding on and letting go
