Happiness Doesn't Matter

I was free when I was young

Everything made me happy

I had no obligations

and then I got older

and I was criticized

and judged

and told my dreams weren't the right dreams

that the accomplishments I had made were because of her not me

that happiness doesn't matter if you don't make the right choice

And I realized that I was no longer young and

she wasn't always right

Happiness Matters

because it's why life is worth living.
