In The Hands of Death

He can’t stop following me

He is a shadow that I can’t get rid of

His finger keeps on touching those who I know

Why can’t he leave me alone?

No one can escape him

Most of us will be touched by him when we are old

He may get in the way when we are younger

He makes us sad when he takes away those we love.

Death never leaves me alone

He bothers me by laying his hands on my family and friends

That bully just has to take it on innocent people

He puts them to sleep and sends them into the beyond.

I know one day I will be next

With one touch of his finger

I will die like those before me

And I will soon join them in the beyond.
