The Hands of a CNA

Jordyn McMullen

My Year in Poetry Scholarship

The Hands of a CNA

This year I became a Certified Nurses' Assistant

In the past year I have witnessed end of life

I have witnessed neglect and abuse

But, I have also witnessed amazing acts of kindness

As well as the undying love of many people

All these things have only made me want to be a better CNA

To hold higher standards for myself and my fellow CNA's

Becoming a CNA has gave meaning to my life

It has also reinforced my love for nursing
