Hallway Rage
Location
Walking in the hallway is like driving down a street.
It seems like the majority of students are reckless drivers .
There’s a certain pace or speed limit that's expected of a student walking to a class room.
It’s a moderate speed.
Going too slow or too fast causes some problems.
Mainly frustration.
Going too slow causes others to have to get around you.
cut you off.
then to make up for that time wasted
(and yes with only 5 minutes those valuable seconds were wasted)
to make up for that time they have to speed.
swerving and weaving through and past students to get to class to avoid a ticket
a late pass.
and I have a question where is the sign up sheet for no texting and walking?
Because I think a lot of people need to pledge to never text and walk in our busy hallways.
it causes some problems.
Mainly frustration.
I have hallway rage.
Yes I do. And I know others do too because they’re through with having to deal with people stopping in the middle of the hallway to hug their friends.
Do you know what happens if a car hugs another car?
a crash.
an accident.
Someone texting and walking will not notice this tender and clearly necessary moment going on in the middle of the busy hallway
and mash into this collision because their vision was focused on who favorited their facebook status.
A pile up will happen.
Causing people to fear being late so they speed to get to their classes.
This causes problems.
Mainly frustration.
Just pull over and go to the side and hug there. You won't get the hate stares from people like me who have hallway rage.
and I’m not even going to talk about traffic near stairs. I dont even know what to say about that.
Except it causes more problems than frustration.
Wait sorry what?
I couldn't see you. All I saw was diffrent colored floating balls. I was trapped in a swarm of balloons.
Happy birthday though!
Do you know what's worse than being hit with balloons?
Holding the balloons. Walking down the hall creating the birthday balloon battles. You know what is happening and try to prevent it but it will happen
what else will happen?
Frustration.
Oh and let's not scream when there is thunder or lighting, or a strong gust of wind.
I know
You were caught off guard. There was a girl holding a school of balloons.
Yes we understand that. We can tolerate that.
But after every lightning bolt?
This causes problems, mainly frustration.
Yes, yes. I know. I'll admit
I do the majority of these things every now and then.
We all do.
And yes, yes. I know sometimes these actions are hard to avoid.
I'm probably gonna text and walk out of here today out of habit
but I'll try not to
Because the hallway rage phenomenon is growing stronger and stronger
Everyday another hallway walker gives into hallway rage.
This epidemic can only be stopped if the problems in the hallway are no longer there to trigger the frustration that overcomes hallway walkers everyday.
And all the minds including mine this rage has taken over will be able to be free from frustration of the hallway type
Let's end hallway rage.
Let's end hallway rage together.
