That Guy that Everybody Knows
I know that you are smarter, than the rest of us,
But do you have to make it so completely obvious.
You sit there at the lunch table, and you talk about your score,
On the ACT the SAT and O so many more.
You’re a straight A student, and gee that’s really great,
But when you say that makes you better, that’s what I really hate.
And if I say the movie was better than the book,
I know I’m sure to get that you’re an idiot look.
You ask me what my score is on every single test,
Just so you can tell me you that you did better than the rest.
In class if I doodle, to help me stay alert,
You’ll sit there and you’ll judge me, until I feel like dirt.
I’m terrible at Scrabble, and Sudoku is not my thing,
And just cause you are good at them you think that you’re the king
I study and I study to try and pass a test,
You don’t review a single word, but you always do the best.
You have to be the smarter and one up everyone,
If I take Spanish you take Latin, and once again you’ve won.
So maybe I use spell check to write things properly,
That doesn’t mean that I have any less personality.
I hope someday it’s different, and that you come to see,
Just cause I’m not as smart as you doesn’t mean there’s less to me.
