Growing Up Ain't Easy

Growing up hasn't been easy The journey has been tough These last four years have been busy The road has been rough There were days full of tears There were days full of laughter There were days full of glory And days full of disaster Like a road with twists and turns and no sign to say Sometimes things really just aren't gonna go your way To take the bitter pill without water to help it go down And it seems like everyone is wearing a perpetual frown Then one day it hits you like a slap on the back of your head A voice that tells you, "The real world is waiting, get out of your bed!" A realization that time keeps it moving It doesn't wait for anyone so stop saying, and start doing Because one thing I learned growing up and it's true Don't wait to start living life because life won't wait for you.
