I never thought it'd happen,
I never thought it'd come,
The day I saw my grandpa die,
And fly into the sun.
I don't know why he did it,
Why God took one of the best,
My grandpa was number one in my book,
He never laid to rest.
From sun up to sun down,
He always worked so hard,
Never failed to put dinner on the table,
and love in all our hearts.
The day they diagnosed him,
It's one I won't forget,
His journey was long,
& his fight was hard,
But he always said do not fret.
My mother, sister, & daddy, are all in God's wonderful kingdom.
Eventually it will be my time, &I am going to need him.
I'll watch over you while you're on Earth,
Taking chances and learning new things,
I may not be there physically,
But in your heart I will ALWAYS be.
I love my grandpa with all my heart,
And I miss him every day.
He knew this is our temporary home,
And he didnt intend to stay.
So up above he watches me,
And I try to make him proud.
I only hope that im succeeding,
While im still on the ground.
