Green Eyes

Tue, 03/22/2016 - 03:02 -- mselzer

Green eyes stare back into mine
and time becomes lost
We talk under starshine
Though tomorrow we'll pay the cost

Pale skin, white next to mine
Warming me down to my soul
The late hour, I don't mind
Nor the night wind making me cold

Soft lips, brushing against mine
A pulse goes through me
It seems to stop time
And I open my eyes to reality

But all I see is green eyes
Staring back into mine.
