Green Eyes

But what were green eyes to you?

Green is the color of jealousy and deviance,

You saw it not as the soft grass of spring between your toes,

But as vile as pestilence.

Too obvious a thing to juxtapose.

Cold Bloodedness and a danger

Toxic to your wellbeing.

Someone has poisoned green for you and it wasn't me was it?

Green should be a color so freeing

But you can't help hating the spirit.

Tell me what I can do,

What I can do to open your eyes to the color green.
