The Great 32

Start now in order to become a great runner,

I wanted to run so I did.

I ran to feed my hunger,

The will to begin.

It takes me where I want to go,

When I want to escape the stress.

I figured this out a long time ago,

The will to break free.

The harder I ran the more it hurt,

The smarter I ran the faster I became.

I chased the pavement, I hit the dirt,

The will to prepare.

With my lucid dreams in my heart,

I kept winning on my mind.

My desire to run was a big part,

The will to believe.

The journey was extensive and hard,

Never gave up, just kept moving.

Stayed alert, just one more yard,

The will to overcome.

The end was near, along with the finish line,

Focused I gave it all I had.

The reward, the prize was mine,

The will to stay strong.

Running now is like breathing,

Feeling it from my nose to my soles.

I will not stop achieving,

The will to advance.
