Goodbye

A crowded hall at the hospital.

He’s been so strong for way too long,

but the cancer finally won.

It’s his time to leave, so say goodbye

to a father, a friend, a granddad.

No, it’s not easy. It’s not made to be.

But I promise you, darling,

It’ll be alright. It’ll be alright.

I know this hurts and your whole little world

Is crashing down on you.

But it’s alright, baby you can cry,

‘Cause it’s all a part of saying goodbye.

Yeah, now it’s time to say goodbye

To a part of your world.

You may never see each other again,

But it’s alright, baby you can cry,

‘Cause it’s all a part of saying goodbye.

Yeah, it’s all a part of saying goodbye.
