Good Morning

Sat, 07/18/2015 - 11:43 -- Aegis
The night is over, the day's anew,
The sun turns dark sky to blue.
And while the land is lit to yellow,
You remain, pure as golden snow.
How do you always stay that way,
Soft as night, and as bright as day?
You hold on to joy and let go of hate,
Surely I was blessed with you by fate.
For none else could inspire me so,
Make me smile and laugh to and fro.
Thank you for always giving me life,
Thank you for taking away my strife.
I hope your day is as sweet as you,
And that your sky will remain blue.
Hold on to your beautiful light,
The one the darkness cannot fight.
Don't forget that being a winner,
Means losing you in helping another.
And always keep that big grand smile,
The one I see across the miles.
And when the day starts darkening,
Remember that you are a Good Morning.
