Gold

Why do they tell us not everything that glitters is gold.
But hold these stories they told.
That express that love without money.
Isn’t as sweet as honey.

That you could aspire to get gold,
Without being bold.
That you have to fit the mold
That nothing is attainable today without being different.
But that different is the worst curse.

Maybe that’s why everyone puts on gold.
So they can fit the new mold
They don’t have to be bold
But the color gold is bold.

Maybe that explains how the saying.
And this worlds playing.
All eventually becomes fools gold.
So just be bold so you can be gold.
