God Made a Woman

Man was alone, so it’s said

No good alone, it was told

God thought must make, so he did

Man fell asleep, God’s plan sold

From the Man’s rib, life was paid

A being made, young not old

Awake behold, beauty bid

Man looks in awe, woman bold

Woman he calls, there amid

With love not scorn, sweet fair maid

Nor slave nor wench, seen not cold

Equal they are, they both aid

Tending garden, they both hold

Side by close side, they both laid

They were happy, so it’s said

God was pleased, it was told

Descendants come, life keeps braid
