Glow-up, Grow up

Young was I,

and through my eye,

I saw colors and delight.

As I grew,

I never knew,

how all things changed but sight.

Taller, I became,

and others I did blame,

for troubles and disastrous schemes.

But when I felt the shame,

of being the only one to blame,

my eyes were no longer clouded by dreams.

I apologized to those,

who’s sorrows and woes,

I had ignored in my childish way.

Here I stand,

a better, kinder man,

to this very day.
