The Gleipnir that was stronger than stone

Held the Fenris wolf in chain.

It was forged by the dwarves alone,

And caused the mighty wolf pain.

When creating it, Odin had known

How hard Fenris was to contain.

And when the chain began to groan, 

No longer did it remain.
