Give me a story
Location
Stories, stirring stories of any tale you could weave
I could find myself immersed in and never displeased
Give me a story, any story with which I can muse
Fantasy, adventure, or fiction; any one I could choose
Leave me be alone with a story to waste away a day
Set my mind free with the path of a single story, if I may
Whether I have the time or I don’t, a story is in my head
While walking down the street, sitting on a bus or asleep in bed
Tell me a story and I will paint you it's life
I will capture every detail, and draw it all right
Let me be full of a story, in my head all the time
Let me catch hold of a story and think it in rhyme
So my own can come about, ideas being spawned
Ideas from a story having come like the dawn
Let a story take root, deep set in my mind
I will write to the end of all logical time
Let me hear the wind and bring home a wondrous tale
Waiting to be told, to be drunk like fine ale
A story is all I want, all I need
Plant me a story from the tiniest seed
A story in my head is all I need for inspiration
One with which I hope to pass into admiration
A story is what drives me-to write-to draw
For me a story is like a sacred law
One that I must obey, awake and dreaming at night
See before my eyes like some heavenly light
A story I want, a story I'll have
A story I'll write, a story I'm glad
Let me know a story, nothing else for me to wonder
Let me write a story, and then let me read another.
