Give Me

Give me someone to hold,
a connection with a pull,
an undeniable, ineffable attraction
that leaves me satisfied,
yet still wanting more.
Let it be a mutual attractions.
No stops along the way.

Give me what I never wanted:
a forever that never ends,
infinity and one,
an hourglass that never runs out,
a clock that never stops ticking.

Give me something plain to see
that I can believe
even if it's not what it seems to be
a literal figment of my dreams brought to me.

Give me a peace that settles me,
a calm that's loud,
a quiet that has sound.

Give me a home
on many lands,
from sands to seas,
mountains and trees,
a hand that fits in my mine
and a tongue that is kind.
