The Girl in the Looking Glass

Crystal clear, I see her face

A sunny smile, in her happy place.

That mischievous gleam in her chocolate eyes

For her, every day is a new surprise.

No tears are shed, her world is fine

Such difference between her world and mine.

For days, I walk on broken glass

Fractured remains of my shadowed past.

This girl’s reflection is just a fake

Her fragile heart is about to break.

Don’t judge by just appearances—

They’re not always what they seem.

The girl in my looking glass

Is as real as my dreams.
