Girl #2

Monochromic notes sit upon the table,

covered in equations and remote symbols.

Sketches and prose hidden in the margins;

an escape from the rigidity and logical voids.

A numbered female within the room,

surrounded by peers’ measured interactions.

Her vernacular combines calculus,

and rhythmic diction, softening its meaning.

Her words allow infinity,

yearning for movement, yet searching for familiarity.

An internal war of attrition,

left versus right.
