The Gates

I see you as I lay here-
Watching over me, as if you understand.
As if you see in this darkness
Ha! I can see you now, your eyes shine bright.
You lead me off into the gaping mouth
Of this monster you say I created.
How could I do that?
Create something so foul!

The mouth now closed; I reach my hand to touch.
The crystal monster shatters-
It was so weak!

With the breaking of the gate the demons leave, I see the stars
My cheeks burn with hot tears, I have won the battle.
I feel like myself once again, I feel my heart!
The light that fills this darkness creates our castle-
Not easily broken this time, and will never be marked.
From this palace I look up and see these fallen stars
I take you with me, we are always together- This world is ours!

You make me happy, we have worked so hard!
This idea needs no more dissection-
I cannot deny any further, you are my reflection!
