Galaxies

We started off brightStronger than any source of lightEnvied by the rest of the skyConstant time togetherNever knew what was better than thisIt was pure blissThen things started to corruptI never knew we could come this closeWithout actually touchingThen before I knew itThe dooming presence came inAnd I knew where this was heading We were galaxiesColliding in the nightBut away from each other by the morningAway from the lightThat kept us from mourningBut you know we can'tMake another effortTo come back togetherCause we'll end up distanced forever Our universes were expandingMoving away from each other Faster than the lightThat once brightened what we wereWe had an inseparable bondIt lasted for quite some timeYou waved your magical wandAnd the stardust evaporated at an inclineToward the both of usEstablishing a sense of love and trust But some things are too good to be trueEspecially the idea of me with you The darkness finally caved inWe were both barely breathing Wondering if it was worthwhileWe tried to mold back togetherBut that didn't make anything betterSo we just drifted apartRight back to where we started
