A Freeing Voice

Thu, 05/15/2014 - 16:52 -- aonslow

We are so afraid to speak our true minds,

As society's constant pressure binds.

For opinions outside the social norm

Are met with hatred's finest hidden form.

We preach tolerance but not freeing thought

That was the goal for which our fathers' fought.

Men who died would be amazed at the fall

Of intolerance strong as the Great Wall.

Pick up your courage and raise your loud call.

Now is the time for freedom for us all.
