Freedom

Mon, 07/20/2015 - 13:56 -- eruig21

You feel constricted, like you are tied up in ropes,

Tugging, scratching, waiting to break free,

Finally you feel the ropes loosen,

They fall from your shoulders,

FREEDOM.

The wind blows freely through your hair,

Like the wind that  graces your country's flag.

You run, to run away from all the pressure,

From all the fears all the worries,

While the soldiers that fight for your freedom,

Run from the bullets, the bombs, the enemies.

You can leap across rivers, climb up mountains.

You can speak up for your rights, for your people.

Freedom is defined in so many different ways,

Freedom for your country, freedom from your parents,

Freedom to do anything that your heart desires.

Freeing yourself from those constraints

that prevent you reaching your dreams

is the first step to achieving success.
